It is to be noted that all matching horses and identical saddles present a very pleasing appearance, but do nothing to improve a team’s drill execution and performance, and today, can be very expensive to achieve. Matching Horses and Equipment: In any division in this competition, matched horses (same color) and tack (saddles) are NOT required. Horse / Rider Minimum: In the Senior, Junior and Mixed Divisions, it is open to the number of horses and riders that constitute a team (8 t0 10 riders). The decision shall be left solely to the discretion of the Drill Team Committee. Such emergency shall be defined as having occurred on the way to the Reno Rodeo Drill Team Competition, at the competition, or in the vicinity thereof. A horse may be used by more than one team.Įmergency Substitution of Riders: The Drill Team Chairman, in an emergency such as illness of horse or rider, loss or breakage of equipment, shall allow more juniors to ride with an adult team or more adults to ride with a junior team. Stalls: All stall money must be in to the Reno Rodeo office no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, May 5, 2023. However, the results of this competition are FINAL! Due to the pressing time schedule, any contested scores and/or complaints will be assessed and will be used to improve next year’s competition. The team with the highest average is to be declared the winner, next highest average, second, and the next highest average, third, etc.Īll places first, second and third are final at the time of the awards. ![]() The winner shall be determined by adding together the scores of the three judges and dividing by three. Everyone is listed as the same classification. You can list your team’s divisions that you are registered as.Įxample: Junior, Mixed or Senior but this is an open competition. The review of drill criteria with the judges and drill masters will be done. in the DOC Bar which is located inside the indoor arena building at the West End upstairs. The Judges Meeting will be held Thursday June 15, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. The first 10 teams that have their completed application and monies returned on or before FRIDAY, May 5, 2023 by 5 pm will be allowed to compete. To maintain the high standard and quality of the competition, Reno Rodeo will only allow 10 teams the opportunity to compete in this year’s competition.
