![]() So boring, It removes all the "aaahhh" and "wow" moments that made this game so good for me, basically it kills the whole experience lol idk how to have fun in this game if not being vigilant and trying to understand how things are connected to each other. ![]() I've seen people on youtube playing it for the first time while streaming and sometimes I feel like they don't use their brain at all or learn from their path so far, instead they listen to what people in stream chat tell them to do to quickly mage progress. I think prime is a clever game needing you to take time, think twice and not be in a hurry. Did you use the hint system? I mean you can turn it on and off if you reall don't know further, super convenient imo. If you're not a fan of scaning you really have a hard time being a fan of the game, it makes up a big percentage as the whole lore and a lot of hints to progress is build up around it, it tells you everything you need to know.Īnd I never experienced getting lost as annoying for myself because there's so many upgrades and items hidden everywhere which can be seen as a side quest, so you're basically capable of never running around meaningless if you pay attention to lore and watch out for the items (which also help you in the late game, may it be health/ missile ups or the artifacts). Could someone explain to me what I‘m missing? Why is this game a 10/10 or atleast a 95/100 regarding to metacritic? I totally get what this game meant back in 2002 but is it really still as good? Imagine a 3D Metroid with an interconnected map like DS1/Bloodborne with fast paced movement and no doors, THAT would be a 10/10 for me. In the first, all you have to do is shoot missiles into his gaping maw and avoid a few basic attacks. I still had fun playing it and and would rate it a 7.5 out of 10. Nintendo / CheetahBlades ( YouTube) Metroid Dread ’s Kraid fight consists of two phases. Plus the music is okay but nothing special. Oh and the game is really easy because of the lock-on feature. I‘m also no fan of the constant scanning (but that‘s on me, I could just ignore it). Retro were clearly hampered by development rush (cut content, no Kraid, etc), and they also had to build. But it never feels like exploring or progressing no matter the direction you take (like Hollow Knight), it’s „choose the right path or get lost“. Metroid Prime accomplished some crazy feats, converting the Metroid formula to three dimensions, transforming a Nintendo classic into first person POV, and showcasing ridiculously good looking graphics (with excellent music and sound fx). This gets extra annoyoing because of the constant backtracking. starting a big Metroid illustration and I am a fool for doing so super metroidmetroid fanartmetroid artmetroid fusionmetroid primeMetroidsamus returns. The movement is sooo slow and just doesn‘t feel as good as the 2D Metroids (particulary Dread). First things first: the game looks fantastic and the framerate + frametimes are perfect.īut I expected more, especially in regards to all the perfect scores it gets. I don't know what Nintendo might be planning for the future of the franchise, but it seems truly worth wile for them to port the older 2D games at a time when interest is peaked beyond what we've seen for decades now. This is (or was) my first time actually playing Prime because back in the day I only played it for like an hour on GC. Maybe Nintendo was leery of turning off too many would-be first time players? Ok, I get it. I argued for this before the release of Dread as a way to possibly get more players familiar with the series lore and basic concepts.
